Tank Standing Buffalo is an established artist, assisting; not-for-profit and youth agencies with event programs, posters & logos, bands and solo musicians with album covers and posters, distributors with a line of eclectic stickers, t-shirt designs and comic books!
He has shared his creativity with troubled youth in work experience programs, lived in the wilderness, studied the art of totem carving from a recluse aboriginal artist on vancouver island, painted many large scale murals, haunted houses and stage backdrops for various venues and special events. His Zombie Caricatures and his Zombie make-up for film, are reoccurring themes in Tank's work. He chooses a dark subject matter but dresses it in bright dayglo colours
Not only is Tank an accomplished painter, designer and carver, he is also an amazing sculptor and set designer. Tank has spent a great deal of time developing, designing, building and painting Haunted Houses in both Alberta and British Columbia. In Vancouver, one may see his latest mural on the side of the Bonanza Shooting Gallery, at Playland, one of the oldest remaining midway games to date. By day Tank uses his talents restoring old Pinball machines and Arcade Games , a job he feels is an honorable one, preserving the past for future generations.
